Camorra: Review confirms the prison for Angelo and Luigi Moccia

Ukraine, Scholz:

(ANSA) – NAPLES, MAY 20 – Angelo and Luigi Moccia remain in prison, believed to be at the top of the homonymous clan, to whom the carabinieri of the Ros of Naples, at the dawn of last April 20, notified two of the 59 precautionary measures issued by the investigating judge Maria Luisa Miranda at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Prosecutor. This was decided by the Review Court to which the lawyers of the Moccia brothers presented an appeal, a few days after the notifications. The lawyers of Angelo and Luigi’s other brother, Antonio, instead presented an application to the Court of Cassation.

The Review had already confirmed the precautionary measures issued against Filippo Iazzetta, brother-in-law of the Moccia family, against Gennaro Moccia, son of Angelo, and Benito Zanfardino, son-in-law of Iazzetta. At the beginning of next week, the decisions of the Review are expected on the appeals presented by ten other people who are among the recipients of the precautionary measures notified last April together with a seizure, also carried out by the Guardia di Finanza, of assets for 150 million euros.

The investigators of the DDA, for various reasons, challenge the suspects for the crimes of criminal association of a mafia type, extortion, use of money, goods or utilities of illicit origin, self-laundering, fictitious registration of goods, corruption, port and illegal detention of firearms, receiving stolen goods, aiding and abetting, aggravated by the purpose of facilitating the Moccia clan.
