(ANSA) – CAMPOBASSO, 22 MAY – He stabbed his 40-year-old nephew at the height of a quarrel: the protagonist of the episode, which took place last night in Pescopennataro (Isernia), a 70-year-old man, arrested by the Agnone carabinieri. The man was first subjected to mandatory health treatment at the hospital in Isernia and then arrested and locked up in the Pentro prison.
The alarm was raised with a phone call to 112 by the injured man, hit in the groin: as soon as they arrived on the scene, the military rescued the 40-year-old until the arrival of the 118 staff who, once the medications were finished, transported to the hospital. At that point the carabinieri reached the attacker’s home: considering the strong state of agitation in which the 70-year-old was found, they began a long and delicate negotiation to calm him, also asking for the intervention of medical personnel; subsequently, in agreement with the medical guard and the mayor of the municipality of Altomolisano, a compulsory medical treatment in hospital for the man was arranged.
During the house search of the attacker’s home, the military found a small-caliber pistol, illegally detained, as well as a machete and kitchen knife most likely used to strike the grandson.
Discharged from the hospital late in the evening, the 70-year-old was then arrested and locked up in the prison of Isernia. (HANDLE).
