Smallpox monkeys: in Lazio 15 are in isolation

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 23 – “In Lazio there are 15 people in isolation while the cases remain three and they are three people hospitalized at Spallanzani in good clinical conditions”. This was declared by the Councilor for Health of the Lazio Region, Alessio D’Amato. The 15 in isolation are contacts of the three infected who were traced back with contact tracing. Basically, the isolation in the case of close contacts with infected with monkeypox works as for Covid. The close contact, which is traced from the infected person, must remain in isolation for 21 days and during this time is constantly monitored remotely to promptly verify the onset of symptoms. The use of a mask is also recommended for individuals in isolation. In case of symptoms, hospitalization is immediately arranged. After 21 days the subject is considered no longer at risk. (HANDLE).
