(ANSA) – ANCONA, MAY 23 – Anti-mafia investigations that have involved an exploration of the criminal activity of the ndrangheta, with “corporate, organizational and managerial” profiles, within “legal powers of criminal procedure”.

The interdisciplinarity of the commitment against the mafias and the personality of “great depth and squareness” in the fight against the mafia crimes of the one who promoted and coordinated them, are the basis of the honorary doctorate in Management and Law that the Polytechnic University of Marche has attributed to the procurator of Catanzaro Nicola Gratteri who received his diploma in the afternoon from the hands of the rector Gian Luca Gregori and the coordinator of the doctorate Caterina Lucarelli who carried out the laudation in the Aula magna of the Faculty of Economics in Ancona. In Gratteri a long applause from the assembly and also the seal of the University.

In the motivation for recognition, precisely the characteristics of the investigative activity “for the restoration of legality” coordinated by Gratteri who also provided “school cases then transferred to teaching in training rooms”, underlined prof. Lucarelli; an “important combination of observation of the reality of ‘organization of criminal work’, found in the investigative activity, of all categories of business and legal disciplines, with implications also of finance” that Gratteri has identified and recognized also in the ndrangheta.

The doctorate is, commented Gratteri, “an important recognition that gratifies me with so many sacrifices and so many bitternesses. I am grateful to this university, not only for this recognition, but also because it gives me the opportunity to speak to the boys who for me perhaps even more important than investigating itself. What to say to young people? Study, it is the only weapon of redemption, the only way not to be screwed by adults “. (HANDLE).
