(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 24 – There are 29,875 new infections from Covid recorded in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 9,820. The victims are 95, an increase compared to yesterday’s 80 There are 811,720 people currently positive for Covid, 21,327 fewer in the last 24 hours. A total of 17,288,287 Italians have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the deaths rise to 166,127. The discharged and healed are 16,310,440, an increase of 51,946 compared to yesterday.
There are 269,871 molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours. Yesterday there were 93,813. The positivity rate is 11%, up slightly from 10.5% yesterday. 290 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, one less than yesterday in the balance between income and expenses.
