(ANSA) – NAPLES, MAY 25 – Suicide by hanging remains the most probable hypothesis in relation to the death of Tiziana Cantone, the 31-year-old found lifeless, with a scarf around her neck, on 13 September 2016, in her aunt’s home, in Casalnuovo (Naples). This is what emerges from the autopsy ordered as part of the voluntary homicide investigations that led to the exhumation of the woman’s body, at the beginning of 2021.
The report of the medical examiners, appointed by the Naples North Prosecutor’s Office, was filed about a month ago.
However, the file (assigned to the deputy prosecutor Giovanni Corona) for the hypothesis of voluntary murder remains open: the investigators await the filing of the psychological report that should shed light on Tiziana’s emotional conditions, also in relation to the drugs she was taking and the statements that the girl had made it after the broadcast of her private videos.
Only following these new findings, the investigators will decide whether to close the investigation for murder or whether to continue investigating this lead. In recent days, one of Tiziana’s videos has popped up again from the deep web and republished online. This is a story that has aroused much clamor and revived the sufferings of the mother of the Canton, Teresa Giglio, assisted by the lawyers Emiliano Iasevoli, Gianluca Condrò and Stefano Marcialis.
