Bankruptcy with boss company Pillera, three arrests of Gdf Catania

Piazza di Siena, Gabrielli (Intesa Sanpaolo):

(ANSA) – CATANIA, MAY 28 – Three people were arrested and placed under house arrest by financiers of the Provincial Command of Catania as part of an investigation by the District Prosecutor on ‘TC Impianti’, a company in the telecommunications services sector declared bankrupt in April 2021. They are Francesco Marino, legal representative of the company, and Giovanni Consolo and Massimo Scaglione as shareholders and directors. They are under investigation for fraudulent bankruptcy and issuing of invoices for non-existent operations, with conduct aggravated by having favored the Pillera-Puntina mafia clan.

The investigating judge issued a precautionary order against them which also provides for the measure of the temporary ban on exercising entrepreneurial activity for one year. From the investigations of the Pef nucleus of the Fiamme Gialle it emerged that the suspects, “in the face of a significant bankruptcy liability of the company, equal to about 800 thousand euros, mainly consisting of debts to the tax authorities, would have transferred, at an inconsistent price, machinery, equipment and contractual positions to a new company specifically set up, “Easytel”, which in fact, disputes the accusation, has continued its entrepreneurial activity “.

Furthermore, “invoices were issued for non-existent operations, with the realization of an undue profit, equal to the VAT not paid by” TC Impianti “, for 140 thousand euros”.

The ‘Easy order’ investigation merged the statements of a collaborator of justice and investigative elements which, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, “would allow the company to be traced back to Salvatore Pillera, progenitor of the homonymous clan, currently detained under the 41-bis regime” . Accepting the request of the Dda, the investigating judge also ordered the seizure of the shares of Easytel, of the related company assets and of the profit from the tax offense of issuing invoices for non-existent operations, for an estimated value of over one million euros.
