(ANSA) – CREMONA, MAY 28 – A bus that connects Spinadesco to Cremona, with 12 students on board, caught fire this morning at Cavatigozzi, just outside the city. Nobody was hurt.
The alarm launched by a passing motorist who noticed the flames and flanked the bus, alerting the driver, was decisive. At that point, the driver and passengers alighted quickly and no one was injured. The firefighters of Cremona, who intervened with two teams, put out the fire, while the carabinieri and brigade blocked the traffic along Via Milano. The bus was destroyed by the flames.
“We smelled the smell of burning but we did not think of a similar fire” said one of the students present on the vehicle.
