After 18 years, the shadows on Marco Pantani’s last hours are gathering more and more: the carabinieri of Rimini, as reported by the local edition of the Resto del Carlino, have heard one of the two escorts that a taxi driver claims to have accompanied to the residence Le Rose on the morning of February 14, 2004, when the lifeless body of the cycling champion was found.

The new investigation into the death of the Pirate continues, but the questions that cannot be answered are still many. The carabinieri are investigating the revelation of the taxi driver who, first in an interview with the hyenas, then in front of the investigators, had said that he had accompanied two girls to the residence, who worked as cubists in a nightclub on the Riviera and occasionally acted as escorts.

One of the two women was tracked down and heard by the carabinieri, while the other died in the meantime. Her story, however, conflicts with that of the taxi driver, since she denied having had relations with Pantani.

It is likely that the prosecutor, also following the indications of the lawyers of the Pirate’s mother, will hear other witnesses in the coming days to understand if on February 14, 2004, when Pantani died from a lethal mix of cocaine and drugs, there were or were not other people together with him.
