It happened, this morning, starting at 10, in the port of Punta Penna, in the city of Vasto, where numerous seafarers arrived from Termoli and the place, stopped with boats for a few weeks as part of national protests. against the “expensive diesel”.
Agreeing in “paralyzing” the arrival on the market of fish products from other areas, they prevented some trucks with wholesalers on board from unloading the imported fish as well as the cargo.
Police officers and Guardia di Finanza were present in front of the structures of the two wholesalers. The demonstrators then talked with the fish sellers who agreed with the reasons for the “stop” to fishing and decided to join the demonstration.
Consequently, no imported fish was unloaded.
