(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 01 – A friendship born on Facebook has turned into a nightmare for a 25-year-old Roman girl who has become the object of morbid attention and physical assault by a 38-year-old of Brazilian origins. An affair for which the man was sent to trial by the GUP of Rome today. The accusation against her is of stalking. Based on what was reconstructed by the magistrates of piazzale Clodio, the 38-year-old had contacted the young woman on the social network in September 2020.
After a few days the man began to target the woman with messages, with sms and whatsapp, to ask for a meeting. Messages that with the passing of the days have become more and more insistent and have taken on the tone of real threats when the girl told him she was already engaged. Not satisfied, the accused began to target her boyfriend with violent messages and one evening last October he went to the streets waiting for the girl in front of her door, attacking her with slaps and punches and causing her injuries to the face.
