(ANSA) – SONDRIO, 02 JUN – A 60-year-old man lost his life today in the mountains, in Valtellina. The causes of the accident, which took place in the Rhaetian Alps, in the late morning, in the municipal area of Buglio in Monte (Sondrio), are still to be clarified.
The hiker was with a friend who raised the alarm; he fell for a hundred meters near the Cross of the Elm. The alarm was immediately alerted, on site by the Alpine Rescue technicians of the VII Valtellina and Valchiavenna Delegation, Morbegno Station, the Sagf – Alpine Rescue Guardia di Finanza of Sondrio, the Areu helicopter rescue – Regional Emergency Emergency Agency of Como.
