(ANSA) – CHIUSAFORTE, 03 JUN – The searches for a missing Base jumper since yesterday afternoon resumed this morning after a launch from Monte Cimone in the Western Julian Alps in Chiusaforte (Udine).
The man, a 35-year-old foreigner, did not return to the meeting point with his friends, who therefore raised the alarm.
The Alpine Rescue is operating on site, with the stations of Moggio Udinese and Cave del Predil and the Guardia di Finanza of Sella Nevea.
The Fvg Civil Protection helicopter immediately took off and spotted the equipment in a very inaccessible channel between Monte Cimone and Jôf di Goliz.
The regional helicopter rescue was also activated but none of the aircraft was able to approach and identify a point to drop the crews due to a sudden deterioration in weather conditions.
The searches started again at the first light of dawn and the staff would have arrived on the spot in these hours: the hopes that the sportsman is still alive are feeble. (HANDLE).
