(ANSA) – BELLUNO, June 03 – A 55-year-old hiker from Feltre (Belluno) died after tumbling about fifty meters from path number 801, which goes from Rifugio Dal Piaz to Rifugio Boz in the Belluno area.
The woman was walking along a stretch of Altavia number 2 when, passing under the summit of Monte Zoccarè Alto, towards Val Canzoi, she fell. Her friend who was with her saw her stumble and fall to her side, seeing her tumbling, and called the health workers of her Suem 118 not seeing her come back up and receiving no response to her calls.
The helicopter of the Suem di Pieve di Cadore, after having identified the place of the accident and having lowered the Alpine Rescue technician with a winch, flew to the Soranzen pitch to embark other technicians from Feltre. The rescuers then went down to the point where the now lifeless body of the woman was, while the helicopter rescue technician provided for the recovery of the friend who remained on the path.
