(ANSA) – MILAN, JUN 05 – Fallen trees and various interventions due to severe bad weather, this afternoon in the province of Varese, mobilized several teams of firefighters and civil protection volunteers, who are trying to reach the mountain village of Vararo in the municipality of Cittiglio (Varese), where about a hundred people were blocked due to fallen trees that interrupt the road system.
In the municipality of Casalzuigno (Varese), a stream is flooded invading some houses. Several fire brigade teams are operating on the spot. To meet the requests, several men were recalled to service, and some teams from the Milan and Monza-Brianza commands arrived in support.
