Quality of life, Aosta the best province for children

Aosta for children, Piacenza for the young and Cagliari for the elderly. These are the three provinces that this year win the Quality of Life challenge declined for as many age groups on 12 statistical parameters provided by certified sources (Istat, Miur, Centro Studi Tagliacarne, Iqvia). The research, now in its second edition, was previewed yesterday at the Trento Festival of Economics and published in the Sole 24 Ore.

As regards the ranking of the quality of life for children, Arezzo and Siena are also on the podium, while the last position is occupied by Naples, preceded by Reggio Calabria, Palermo, Matera and Caltanissetta. In the ranking of young people, on the other hand, in second place is Ferrara, followed by Ravenna. Surprisingly, the province of Rome is in third from last place, while that of Genoa is in 103rd place. South Sardinia and Barletta close. In the ranking on the quality of the elderly, Bolzano and Trento are placed behind Cagliari. Pistoia closes, preceded by Massa-Carrara and Lucca.

Confirmed 31 indicators out of 36 among those selected last year to document services and living conditions. As a new entry, the percentage of school buildings with canteens among the 12 parameters that make up the ranking of children debuted; companies that do ecommerce among those for young people; the presence of specialist doctors, dependence on the population of working age and anti-depressant drugs among those for the elderly.
