Child fallen in the Modena area, psychiatric report fixed

(ANSA) – MODENA, 09 JUN – The probative incident during which judge Andrea Scarpa will assign the appointment for a psychiatric report to which Monica will be subjected has been set for Thursday 16 June at 13, in the court of Modena Santi, the 32-year-old babysitter from Carpi, who on May 31 dropped the thirteen-month-old baby she was taking care of in the absence of her parents from a window on the second floor (the minor is still hospitalized at the Maggiore hospital in Bologna, out of danger ).

The woman, held as a precautionary measure in the Sant’Anna prison and under investigation for attempted murder, confessed her responsibility, adding that she had acted in a state of catalepsy in a difficult period for her. On that occasion, the judge will establish the deadline within which the appraisal must be completed, unless the experts themselves ask for possible extensions. The woman’s lawyer, Francesca Neri, and the prosecutor in charge of the file, Pasquale Mazzei, could also appoint a professional for the purposes of the assessment.

During the probative incident, it will be established whether Monica Santi was capable of understanding and wanting while she made the child fall out of the window and whether she suffers from a partial or total vice of mind. (HANDLE).
