She also monitors what is happening abroad. This is the development of the Office of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

This was reported on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine, where the presentation of the SOTA system took place.

Full monitoring

A system that fully monitors all processes occurring in our state in this area, and which allows you to know, understand, predict and make certain management decisions related, inter alia, to the situation with the spread of COVID-19“, – noted during the presentation, NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov.

He also added that SOTA helps to clearly understand where and what is happening in the context of each territorial community. The system will collect and analyze verifiable information about various spheres of the country’s life and its national security. The data of this system will be taken into account when making certain important management decisions.

How SOTA works

The system works with Big Data, provides storage, combination and analysis of data from different sources to increase reliability, effective monitoring of the state of national security in more than 20 directions in order to effectively coordinate the activities of state bodies.

Among these areas:

  • social;
  • domestic and foreign policy security;
  • events in the OUS area;
  • the spread of the incidence of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the world and in Ukraine;
  • spatial and functional transformation;
  • self-government in the context of decentralization;
  • local budgets and community capacity;
  • subsoil use;
  • economic security;
  • financial markets;
  • threats in domestic and foreign markets, etc.

All information that is collected from external sources and processed in the system is synchronized with geospatial data.

Open data

According to the NSDC Secretary, the President of Ukraine spoke in favor of providing open access to most of the system’s data. It does this to effectively combat disinformation. Anyone can log into the system using the link and find data on the situation at any point in order, among other things, to check and compare the information.

The closed part concerns only the military component, and for every other area of our life we have a clear and understandable situation“, – the NSDC secretary summed up.
