(ANSA) – NUORO, JUNE 13 – The rescue operations of the speleologist, injured yesterday afternoon inside the S’Edera cave, in the locality of Fennau Urzulei, in Oglaistra, continue unabated.

35 technicians from the Speleolological Rescue of the Sardinian Regional Service are at work. The injured person was joined by the first intervention team with two Cnsas doctors and a nurse: his conditions are stable and he is constantly monitored by the doctors.

The rescue team arrived on site – beyond the Pozzo della Grande Marmitta, at a distance of over 500 meters from the entrance and 180 meters deep – began equipping the cavity for the safe progression of the stretcher. The teams involved are in constant communication with the base camp and are assisted by two disobstructor technicians from the Lombard Cnsas, who arrived shortly before midnight with the Poggio Renatico Air Force helicopter and two other technicians arrived from the Cnsas Lazio.

The rescue required an impressive deployment of forces given the difficult characteristics of the cavity where it will be necessary to intervene to widen some sections to allow the passage of the stretcher.

The fire brigade and the 118 ambulance are also present on site. (ANSA).
