(ANSA) – TOLMEZZO, 15 JUN – The body of a 72-year-old man from Tolmezzo (Udine) was found last night, in Verzegnis, by the technicians of the Alpine Rescue Station of Forni Avoltri, who were on his trail , alerted for failure to return from a short excursion.
The family members gave the alarm: the elderly man had left the house at 6 pm yesterday and had not returned there. Together with the rescuers of the Alpine Rescue, the fire brigade, the financial police, a dog unit from Udine, the ambulance and the night helicopter also intervened.
The man was headed to the source of Aghe Paradis, where he used to go to stock up on water. In fact, some empty bottles were found in the trunk of the car.
The body was spotted around 2, near the edge of a rock jump, from which it fell. The recovery of the body was complex and laborious, through the use of ropes, to reach the bed of the Tagliamento. (HANDLE).
