(ANSA) – DOLIANOVA, 17 JUN – At the age of 90 he took the middle school exam at Cpia 1, the provincial adult education center of Dolianova, in southern Sardinia. Protagonist Annunziata Murgia: Thursday afternoon, very elegant, happy smile, she sat in front of the commission to present her dissertation of middle school. With her children and grandchildren, but also the carabinieri of the ANC, the national association of the Arma, who wanted to pay homage to their oldest member, because she was the widow of a soldier.

Annunziata had interrupted her studies due to the conflict, the Second World War. But she never gave up on her dream of completing middle school. So she, after a life as a seamstress dedicated to work and family, this year she enrolled in CPIA 1 and followed consistently, despite the mask and the walker. Sitting at the front desk, she tackled all subjects from Italian to foreign languages ​​with determination. The support of her classmates was important, but above all that of the teachers who, specialized in teaching adults, were able to follow and encourage her.

The exam was a moving moment for everyone: for Annunziata and her family but also for her teachers. An important milestone for the 90-year-old who now wants to continue the path and, “God willing” as she never tires of repeating, she is ready to enroll in the two-year high school. (HANDLE).
