(ANSA) – GENOA, 18 JUN – They jumped from the Lantern, symbol of Genoa, with parachutes, to the amazement of the tourists with whom they had reached the top of the monument with a stratagem (they climbed over a net) and pretending to be them time of visitors. There are three protagonists of the flight, two men and a woman. It is called illegal base jumper and is a throwing technique that sees groups of expert paratroopers attempting impossible and above all illegal feats with record-breaking leaps into the void. The Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into this 77-meter jump. They investigate border police and port authorities, because the Lanterna is in the port area and that area represents a sensitive target in the anti-terrorism documents. The story is told from the 19th century.

Investigators hypothesize the crimes of attack on transport safety, violation of airspace and illegal entry into port. The detectives have in their hands the images of the security cameras of the port that have filmed (in part) the blitz of the paratroopers. The case was entrusted to the deputy prosecutor Elena Schiavetta. The three, all young, fled aboard a dark gray van with French registration which passed through the San Benigno port gate, according to what is highlighted in the judicial police reports. «We were admiring the beauty of Genoa – explained one of the witnesses questioned by the police – when we saw the three climbing out of a small window and throwing themselves into the void. It was a lightning-fast action. Immediately after we raised the alarm asking for the intervention of the police ». (HANDLE).
