(ANSA) – CERIGNOLA (FOGGIA), JUN 19 – A 66-year-old homeless man died after being bitten by two Pit Bull dogs, at dawn today, in an abandoned farmhouse in the countryside of Cerignola, in the Foggiano area. As far as we know, the two animals were free when they attacked the man, who is said to have originated in Eastern Europe. A passer-by who heard the victim’s screams would have called for help. When the carabinieri arrived they found the owner of the two dogs, a Polish man who lives in a nearby farm, who was trying to keep the animals away from the victim.
The owner of the dogs was also bitten in the hand.
The two Pit Bulls were sedated and entrusted to the veterinary service of the ASL of Foggia. The police investigate the incident. (HANDLE).
