(ANSA) – MOGGIO UDINESE, JUN 26 – A 23-year-old girl from Pordenone was seriously injured in her limbs after diving, from a height of about five meters, into a pool of water in the Rio Simon gorge , in Moggio (Udine).
Alerted by her boyfriend, the Fvg medical helicopter and the Alpine Rescue technicians from the local station arrived on the spot.
After a delicate movement by hand, due to the impossibility of operating the aircraft in the narrow gorge, the pilot and the winch technician carried out an arduous operation to recover and transport the patient to the ambulance, which was waiting not far away. The girl, she appeared very tried but is not in danger of life.
According to what she herself reported to the rescuers, the accident occurred due to an incorrect assessment of the diving area: before touching the water, the girl hit an emerging rock spike which caused several fractures.
