(ANSA) – PESARO, June 27 – The restaurateur Umberto Carriera, leader of the IoApro movement, will go to trial for defamation.
The proceedings will open on Friday 1 July at the Court of Pesaro. It is Career himself who announces it on social media. The facts date back to last January 15, when he opened his restaurant La Grande Bellezza in Mombaroccio (Pesaro Urbino), in protest against the anticovid limitations. The restaurateur had received a fine of 800 euros, which was later canceled by the same Court of Pesaro. The episode at the center of the trial, however, is the fact that Carriera had filmed, together with his partner, who was also on trial, the entrance of the police officers, immediately spreading the images on social media, with comments in the background, always triggering reactions via social. The restaurateur was denounced by the head of the Flying Police of the Pesaro Urbino Police Headquarters Paolo Badioli. (HANDLE).
