(ANSA) – NAPLES, 28 JUN – Stop to the water supply for the island of Ischia, which since mid-morning is no longer receiving water from the mainland due to an electrical fault.
The blackout of the Melito di Napoli power plant has in fact blocked the activity of the water lifting systems managed by the Campania region which consequently had to completely interrupt the water supply to the largest of the Neapolitan islands.
At the moment it is not possible to foresee the end of the emergency given that the tanks present on the island territory, managed by the Campania Region and EVI spa, will in turn be closed within a few hours to preserve the water levels stored also with a view to organizing any shifts.
For this reason, Evi, the island water company, invites as a precaution all the island citizens to avoid any waste and improper use of water resources in these hours.
