Camorra: extortion in the Neapolitan area, three other CC arrests

(ANSA) – NAPLES, 29 JUN – Angelo Pirozzi, 46, and Biagio Vallefuoco, 54, arrested by the carabinieri of Giugliano in Campania (Naples) together with Antonio Russo, 53, as part of the investigations that last June 8 led to the execution of a detention order issued by the DDA, against nine people accused of extortion, consumed or attempted, illegal possession and carrying of common weapons of shooting, aggravated by the aims and modalities of the mafia.

The requests for “pizzo”, it emerged from the investigations, were perpetrated against building contractors, car dealers and restaurateurs in the area north of Naples.

The gang of criminals, which forced the traders of the area to deliver the used oils to certain companies, was also dedicated to the collection and recovery of credits. Finally, he had a wide availability of weapons.

In total, there are fifteen criminal episodes contested by the investigators by the suspects.

During the investigative activities, the investigators also found the willingness of some of the suspects to carry out intimidating actions against the carabinieri.
