(ANSA) – SIENA, JUN 29 – The horses have been assigned to the 10 districts that will run the Palio di Siena on July 2, the first after a two-year stop imposed by the pandemic. Fate has kissed the districts of Pantera and Istrice to which the horses that have already raced in Piazza del Campo have gone, respectively Una per Tutti and Schietta. The other 8 horses are all rookies. None of the 10 horses among those chosen by the Contrade captains has won a career.
The other assignments were Vitzichesu al Valdimontone, Vankook alla Civetta, Volpino al Leocorno, Viso d’Angelo alla Torre, Zio Frac al Drago, Uragano Rosso al Bruco, Reo Confesso alla Lupa and Zentile alla Chiocciola. The first horse / jockey pairings will be official this evening when the first test is scheduled. (HANDLE).
