These are just some of the protagonists of films or television series that, in recent weeks, with a “boom” of sets, continue to animate Fiumicino. An area that is increasingly loved and sought after by national and international film productions which, on a daily basis, choose many of the most characteristic places, such as the area of the old Lighthouse and the Bilancioni (where a plaque was dedicated to the cult Master, Claudio Caligari), or even less known, in the city to shoot films, TV commercials, TV series (a crescendo in recent years from “Gomorra”, “Suburra” to “Rocco Schiavone”), documentaries and music videos. Even three sets at the same time in one day.

“It seems to have gone back to the heyday of films shot in the area by Fellini, Avati and other masters of Italian cinema”, explains an elderly resident and former extra in 60s and 70s films. Behind the scenes now there is also the incessant work carried out by the Film Commission of the City of Fiumicino which, in one month, has collaborated in the creation of over ten film products, including the Hollywoodian “The old guard” with Uma Thurman and Charlize Theron, the Italian remake of “Call My Agent” with Maurizio Lastrisco and Paola Cortellesi, or the Italian-Colombian film “El Paraiso”, starring Edoardo Pesce as a boy with a complicated family life, and the films “Un amore of Christmas “and” A great desire to live “. And it is precisely in Fiumicino that Micaela Ramazzotti made her directorial debut with the film “Felicità”.

In the film the locality of Isola Sacra, between sea and countryside, was the protagonist in almost all of the screenplay, with the actors Sergio Rubini, Anna Galiena and Max Tortora. The film “The kid with shark teeth” by directors Valerio Cilio and Gianluca Leoncini is being shot these days.

Finally, in view of a TV project for Rai, which will be filmed in early August at a school in Fiumicino, the Film Commission is looking for girls and boys between 18 and 25 years old, residing in Fiumicino or in neighboring areas. (HANDLE).
