Safety: Jesolo fielded 20 stewards

(ANSA) – VENICE, 02 JUL – Jesolo focuses on safety: Mayor Christofer De Zotti announces the start of a new information and safety service in the city through the presence of 20 stewards to ensure that the nightlife on one of the busiest beaches dell’Adriatico is carried out without fights or acts of vandalism.

The initiative starts today. During this first weekend, about ten stewards will be employed, whose number will increase with the passing of the days. At full capacity, the service will engage operators from Friday to Sunday, from 11pm to 5am, in the months of July, August and September. They will have the task of informing and sensitizing the people present in the area between piazza Mazzini and piazza Aurora, especially the younger ones, on the adoption of responsible and respectful behaviors towards the city but also the environment, public spaces, identity of Jesolo and its inhabitants.

In the same context, the “Drink responsibly” project was also launched, organized by Fipe-Confcommercio and the National Magistrates Association, with the support of the Municipality of Jesolo. The initiative consists of a real ‘pact’ between public establishments and magistrates to promote compliance with the rules and the adoption of good practices against alcohol abuse among children and club managers.
