(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 02 JUL – On the red dot day in Sardinia there are 23 fires, of which two have affected the woods of the island. The helicopters of the regional fleet had to work overtime on seven fires and the Super Puma also had to take off.
In particular in Suni, in the Nuorese area, the large elitanker, which allows the transport of personnel and additional important equipment, intervened in Nuraghe Salisarda, together with another aircraft coming from Bosa.
The fire covered an area of arable land, olive groves and vineyards for about 4 hectares.
Flames also in Gallura a Monti in the locality of Sa Cialda and Stazzi Attasidu, where the extinguishing operations are still in progress, in the hamlets around Sassari (S. Giorgio houses) and in Pabillonis, Serdiana and Siliqua, in the south of the island. (HANDLE).
