(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 03 JUL – It is a party in Trieste for the second consecutive day, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Alpine Corps. An opportunity also to give a glaze to the image of the Body after the controversy of what happened in Rimini in recent months with the numerous complaints on social media of harassment of women during a gathering.

Yesterday in the late afternoon in a piazza Unità d’Italia half transformed into a ‘citadel’ with inside armored vehicles, camouflage tents, relics and various paraphernalia linked to the Alpini, the Relay race arrived running after 1,500 kilometers and 23 stages, he concluded his itinerary from Ventimiglia (which left on April 6) passing through Abruzzo and all the most significant places in history and the men of the Corps.

Between flag raising and flag lowering, officers and local authorities, and the Alpino ship moored not far away, tourists and people from Trieste, adults and children, got excited by visiting and observing weapons and equipment. Today there are no ceremonies but the ‘citadel’ is still open and there are many visitors. (HANDLE).
