(ANSA) – BARI, 04 JUL – The alleged drug supplier of the Cipriano clan of Bitonto (Bari), among the 25 people arrested by the carabinieri, was supposed to get married today. The arrest in prison of the convicted Ottavio Di Cillo, 42 years old from Cassano delle Murge, was carried out a few hours after his wedding. It is one of the details that emerge from the Bari military operation, coordinated by the DDA, which today brought 24 people to prison, including Di Cillo himself and the alleged clan leader Francesco Colasuonno, called Ciccio, aged 35, and a collaborator of justice under house arrest. The investigation, called ‘Porta Robustina’, a symbolic place of the conflict with the Conte clan for the control of the drug dealer in Bitonto, started after the 2017 feud which culminated, on December 30 of that year, in the murder of the innocent elderly woman Anna Rosa Tarantino, killed during a chase between pusher of the two rival criminal groups. The 25 people arrested today (43 suspects in total) are charged with the crimes of conspiracy for the purpose of drug trafficking and retail marketing, aggravated by the mafia’s method and purpose and the availability of weapons.
The cocaine and heroin supply channel on Bitonto and Palo del Colle, another municipality influenced by the Cipriano clan, would have been Di Cillo, believed to be in business with the Parisi mafia clan of Bari. Last night, for the serenade preceding the wedding, investigators have acquired videos – also published on tik tok – of a party with fireworks, a neo-melodic singer and numerous guests. (HANDLE).
