(ANSA) – UDINE, 05 JUL – All public fountains and drinking fountains in the city of Udine will be closed starting from the next few days to save water in the face of the persistent water emergency that the Friulian capital and the region are experiencing. This was announced today by the municipal administration, after the decision of the council led by the mayor Pietro Fontanini, which met today.

It has been learned from the Municipality that the only fountain that will remain functional will be that of the Torso garden, because it is internally recycled. The goldfish that populate the artificial lakes of the Ricasoli municipal gardens will be housed in the same fountain. The municipal offices are working to establish the precise calendar of closures, the dates should be communicated as soon as possible. (HANDLE).
