Security: Cisl, two public drivers attacked in Fvg

(ANSA) – UDINE, 06 JUL – Escalation of physical attacks against drivers of local public transport in Fvg, with two cases occurring only yesterday: an Arriva bus driver was attacked with three punches in the chest by a traveler in San Daniele del Friuli (Udine), and a driver from Trieste Trasporti was the victim of threats, spitting and beatings by four users. Both were accompanied to the emergency room. This was announced today by the general secretary Fit Cisl Fvg Antonio Pittelli who defines the incident as “very serious” and which “comes downstream of a series of violence of various magnitudes and gravity that took place in the past months and which have been reported several times” .
According to Pittelli, it is “urgent to open a perpetual table on safety, which unites prefects, the Region and companies. We will no longer be satisfied with inconclusive answers. We need immediate action to greatly increase safety to protect workers”. (HANDLE).
