At the age of 93, to be completed in a few weeks, Sofiia Maksymchuk, originally from Ukraine, attended the Italian language course A1.1 at the University for Foreigners of Perugia and passed the related final exam. You are now enrolling in the A1.2 level course. The diploma of her course was given to her by the rector Valerio De Cesaris, who wanted to meet her and congratulate the student “for the energy and spirit” who brought her to the benches of Palazzo Gallenga.
“Studying the Italian language is really interesting – said Mrs. Sofiia with a smile, through a press release from the University for Foreigners – and the lessons are very fun; but the thing that surprised me the most was to be greeted with care and with joy from everyone: students, teachers and people of the organization, all young people who are making me feel a little younger every day “. Accompanying the student Maksymchuk to the rectorate were her niece and great-granddaughter, also enrolled at the University, together with her teacher, Silvia Sposini.
