Other technical equipment, probably attributable to people currently reported missing, was found this morning in Marmolada by rescuers engaged since dawn this morning in operations on the debris of the serac collapsed on Sunday. ANSA learns this.
An inter-force and highly specialized team has in fact conducted a “sight and hearing” inspection to look for any traces not yet identified by the frequent flyovers of drones and helicopters. After a briefing around 5am, the operators moved to the mountain, where they are still operating. This is a particularly risky interventiongiven that a part of the cap affected by the disaster still weighs on the slope below.
We are also intervening with dogs. Last night it rained, so the ground has been “cleaned” of dust and rubble, the temperature has dropped, the sky is clear and there is no wind, ideal weather conditions for on-site reconnaissance with a minimum of extra safety for operators.
IS expected arrival in the afternoon in Canazei, in Trentino, by the President of the Senate, Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati. In the morning, the governor of Veneto, Luca Zaia, will also arrive in the town of Val di Fassa.
