(ANSA) – PALERMO, 07 JUL – Encourage the adoption of stray dogs found in the municipal area. This is the objective of the regulation for the adoption of “best friends of man” approved by the municipal council of Salemi in the Trapani area.
It provides reliefs on the Tari for those who decide to adopt a dog housed in the health and social shelter of the Municipality or in other facilities affiliated with the institution. The regulation, which has 12 articles, governs the methods for obtaining the discount on the waste tax which will have a maximum limit of 350 euros and which cannot be combined with other initiatives that provide discounts on the same type of tax. Also foreseen the preparation of a section on the institutional website of the Municipality of photos, data and characteristics of the dogs that can be adopted. The rules were discussed by the first and third council commissions, chaired respectively by Pietro Crimi and Federica Armata, in a joint session and subsequently approved by the Chamber. “The approval of the regulation which provides for Tari reliefs on dog adoptions is splendid news – comments the mayor of Salemi, Domenico Venuti -.
