(ANSA) – PERUGIA, 08 JUL – The driver of a tow truck died in an accident on the Perugia-Bettolle connection where the vehicle fell from an overpass at the gates of the Umbrian capital. The man from the area died instantly.
The traffic police are investigating the causes of the accident. After a flight of several tens of meters, the vehicle ended up in the ground below the junction. Not far from another street, in the Via Settevalli area.
The accident occurred between the Prepo and San Faustino junctions along the carriageway towards Bettolle. The vehicle tore up the side barriers of the ‘Settevalli’ viaduct and ended up in the area below.
In addition to the traffic police, the firefighters, 118 personnel and Anas technicians also intervened on the spot. (HANDLE).
