(ANSA) – SYRACUSE, 10 JUL – A detention on the accusation of murder was issued by the Prosecutor of Syracuse against Antonio Montalto, 23 years old from Lentini. The young man, accompanied by his lawyer Junio Celesti, presented himself to the carabinieri this morning, explaining that he was the person with whom Roberto Raso, 38, had had an altercation last night at the end of which the man was killed with a knife. . The dispute allegedly took place around midnight in via Pellico, near Montalto’s home. During the interrogation, the arrested person allegedly explained to the magistrate that he coordinates the investigations that he did not know the victim well: the two would have met by chance and Raso, according to the suspect’s account, would have harassed him in some way. A fight broke out, the 23-year-old allegedly took a kitchen knife and inflicted a blow to the 38-year-old’s abdomen. (HANDLE).
