At least six people died and several dozen others were injured in the Ukrainian city occupied by the Russians of Novaya Kakhovka, in the Kherson region, during yesterday’s attack by the armed forces in Kiev: the pro-Russian authorities, cited by the Tass agency, announce this.
Ukrainian authorities announced yesterday evening that an ammunition depot “of the Russian invaders” in Novaya Kakhovka had been attacked again by Ukrainian defenders. In a similar attack several dozen Russian soldiers were killed last week.
Meanwhile, Russian forces have launched several missile attacks in the early hours of today against the city of Mykolaiv, in southern Ukraine: the mayor, Oleksandr Sienkevych, made it known on Telegram, according to Ukrinform. Eyewitnesses reported that the explosions were heard in all neighborhoods of the city and Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units were activated. The attacks were launched from the area of the occupied city of Kherson. For the moment there is no news of victims or injured.
The head of the military-civil administration of the Kakhovka district, Vladimir Leontyev, according to Tass, reported in particular that at least 40 people injured and hundreds more still under the rubble following yesterday’s bombing by Kiev forces. “We already know of 40 injured”, Leontyev said, stressing that the number is destined to rise because it is not even possible now to imagine how many were injured by splinters and broken glass: “I’m only talking about those who have asked for medical assistance”, he specified , adding that hundreds of people are still under rubble or stranded in blast-damaged homes.
According to Bloomberg reports, citing sources familiar with the dossier, meanwhile, the EU plans to propose a new seventh package of sanctions against Moscow. “The proposal could include restrictions on gold imports, measures to adjust previous sanctions and additional lists of individuals and entities,” the US agency sources say.
