(ANSA) – UDINE, JUL 14 – Since this morning, in the provinces of Gorizia and Udine, the soldiers of the Nas of Udine, assisted by colleagues from the Nas of Treviso and the competent provincial commands, have implemented 7 precautionary measures against as many persons, issued by the Gip of the Court of Udine at the request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office.
There are 4 precautionary measures for house arrest, 2 approach bans and a ban on practicing the health profession. The investigation was launched in 2021 after reports of anomalous behavior towards older people, guests of a residence for the non self-sufficient elderly in the province of Udine.
The investigative activities have made it possible to document numerous episodes of threats, insults and even episodes of abandonment to the detriment of some guests of the health facility, all elderly and defenseless precisely because they are not self-sufficient.
The recipients of the precautionary measure are all operators, with various qualifications, who worked in the assistance structure, who, in the period under investigation, engaged in conduct deemed to be of criminal relevance such as threats and offenses.
“The conduct of the seven – says a note from the Nas – have a particular connotation of gravity if correlated with the state of cognitive and physical deficit suffered by the eight victims, all very old and completely defenseless and therefore brought to such problems by the relatives in the welfare structure, to be helped, assisted and supervised “.
