14 year old electrocuted death, tomorrow the funeral in Montenero

(ANSA) – TERMOLI, JULY 15 – The funeral of Nicola Stante, a 14-year-old boy – who died last Monday – was struck by a public lighting pole on the evening of June 28 during a parish celebration, will take place tomorrow morning in Montenero di Bisaccia. Due to the serious injuries sustained, the young man was transferred to the Riuniti hospital in Foggia where, after almost two weeks, he died.

The funeral rite will be celebrated in the sanctuary of the Madonna di Bisaccia. The Stante family asked the media, in a note sent to the Municipality, not to shoot audio-video and photos during the funeral, especially inside the Sanctuary, out of respect for their pain.

The mayor Simona Contucci and the municipal administration in expressing condolences towards the family decreed the city mourning in conjunction with the funeral of the young man. The flags of the municipal building will be at half mast and the suspension of all the events scheduled for the day and the recreational and recreational activities has been ordered. Commercial activities and public establishments are invited to lower the shutters during the funeral.

Yesterday an autopsy was carried out on the boy’s body by the coroner Francesco Introna and his team. The young man’s body was then returned to his family.

The carabinieri of the local station are working to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident as part of the investigation by the Prosecutor of Larino (Campobasso) for manslaughter.
