(ANSA) – JESI, 15 JUL – Following the ordinance with which the mayor of Jesi (Ancona) is trying to contain the consumption of water, a dozen goldfish living in the fountain of the public gardens have been ‘adopted’ by the ‘Councilor for the Environment and Animal Welfare, Alessandro Tesei, and placed in the pond in the garden of his house, in the historic Palazzo Pianetti where the Municipal Art Gallery with the paintings of Lorenzo Lotto is located. The little fish – one of the most popular presences for children playing in the city park – risked dying without the necessary replacement of water from the fountain. Despite the regular cleaning of the park cafe manager, the lack of oxygen would have doomed them. As reported by the local information site qdmnotizie, this morning Tesei and the technicians of the Municipality went to the gardens to ascertain the situation and, given the impossibility of arranging them elsewhere, the councilor decided that he will adopt them by having them taken to the pond of the garden of the family home. When the public park fountain is back in operation, the goldfish can be brought back to their ‘home’. (HANDLE).
