(ANSA) – PIACENZA, 19 JUL – Four members of the Si Cobas autonomous union were arrested at dawn today in Piacenza by the police. To confirm the news is the union itself. The national coordinator of Si Cobas Aldo Milani and three leaders of the Piacenza trade union would end up under house arrest: Mohamed Arafat, Carlo Pallavicini and Bruno Scagnelli. The accusations are of conspiracy for private violence, resistance to public officials, sabotage and interruption of public service in the logistics strikes between 2014 and 2021.

Although at the moment neither the prosecutor’s office nor the police headquarters have confirmed the operation, a press conference was held with the magistrates at 12.

“The accusations – the union always reports – are of criminal association for private violence, resistance to public officials, sabotage and interruption of public service. This accusatory castle would have resulted from the strikes conducted in the logistics warehouses of Piacenza from 2014 to 2021: according to the power of attorney, such strikes would have been carried out with spurious reasons and with ‘extortion’ intentions, in order to obtain better conditions for workers than those provided for by the national contract “.
