It is the story of Alexander Slonim, 62, formerly a translator and entrepreneur who dealt with import / export, a native of Germany but of Italian citizenship. “I am not a homeless man, but they are letting me live like this – he tells ANSA -. I am an entrepreneur who in recent months has had a lot of bad luck and when I asked the institutions for help they told me that a place for me in the first reception facilities there isn’t. I’m just looking for a job to get back on track and support to live in dignity “. Slonim returned to Italy five months ago, from the Canary Islands. There he had tried to throw himself into the Italian food trade. “It didn’t go well – he says – so I decided to go back to Italy, with some money that allowed me to pay for sleeping and eating while waiting to find a job.

In June I was in Milan where I had a business appointment, which did not go through and there they withdrew me 1,500 euros that I had in my Postepay, they cloned it to me. I filed a complaint, but it was not possible to trace the perpetrators. “So the 62-year-old started living on the street. He sought help and found the City Angels association on the internet. The volunteers of Ancona, with the contact person Patrizia Guerra, they are helping to get back on their feet. “We are sorry to know that the social services and the associations that first welcome the city have not found accommodation in Alexander – observes Guerra -, we help as we can with food and clothes, but he would like to work and be autonomous so as not to weigh on anyone. “Since last night a couple living in the area of Jesi, in the province of Ancona, has been hosting him at home.
