Dct: last two ships sold, Giuliana Bunkeraggi liquidated

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 21 JUL – With the sale of the two ships, the “Piero N” and the “Marisa N”, sold for 800 thousand euros, the bankruptcy procedure of Giuliana Bunkeraggi, initiated by the Court in 2019 and coordinated, ends by the judicial liquidator Giancarlo Crevatin. They are the last assets of the historic company of the Napp family. The newspaper Il Piccolo writes, stating that, after the sale of the properties, the other ships and the Tami shares, all the assets of Giuliana Bunkeraggi have been liquidated. The “Piero N”, built in 1993, with a deadweight of 2,700 tons, was sold for 500 thousand euros in mid-June to an Italian shipowner; the Marisa N, 1980 and 1,714 tons.

at the auction, to the Turkish company Mohar Shipping & Trading, for 306 thousand euros. The amounts will be paid in September.

In December 2017 the Public Prosecutor of Trieste asked the Bankruptcy Section of the Court to declare the bankruptcy of the DCT – whose shares were held by ‘Giuliana Bunkeraggi Srl’, managed by Franco Napp – after an insolvency situation was ascertained with the Agenzia delle Customs: the DCT had accumulated a debt towards the administration of over 32 million euros, to which 9 were added in penalties. The Guardia di Finanza had also contested the acquisition of the DCT by the company ‘LIFE Srl’, which took place in 2017. On January 29, 2021, the Court sentenced the three protagonists of the purchase to 4 to 6 years for self-laundering of the DCT.
