(ANSA) – ROME, JULY 22 – There are 71,075 new infections from Covid recorded in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday the infected were 80,653. The victims are 155 instead, two fewer than yesterday when they were 157. The rate is 20.8%, compared to 22% yesterday and 341,191 swabs were performed in all, including antigenic and molecular.
On the other hand, 405 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, while daily admissions are 43. There are 10,944 hospitalized in ordinary wards, 40 less than yesterday.
Coronavirus positive Italians are currently 1,449,439, compared to yesterday 6,382 fewer. In total, 20,539,016 have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the dead have risen to 170,682. The discharged and healed are 18,918,895 with an increase of 77,894. (HANDLE).
