(ANSA) – PIACENZA, 23 JUL – A 63-year-old woman lost her life last night due to an accident near Bobbio, in the province of Piacenza. She was as a passenger on board an SUV, driven by a man, who fell into a canal and overturned. The woman died instantly crushed inside the passenger compartment, while the driver was almost unharmed.
Both are resident in Treviso.
The investigations of the Carabinieri are in progress on the dynamics, who have dealt with the findings. It seems, from a first reconstruction, that the man driving had a problem during a maneuver: the car would have turned off and was unable, however, to stop its reverse travel, ending up in the canal.
One of the hypotheses, yet to be verified, could also have been the malfunction of the handbrake. (HANDLE).
