(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 25 – She went to the emergency room in Formia, fearing a heart attack because she suffered from severe pain in her left arm and chest. Doctors found her positive for Covid by reconnecting the pain to the virus and in an hour and a half she discharged her. Back home, the 68-year-old woman was taken ill and died under the eyes of her husband. The incident took place on 11 July last and now the family members, assisted by Studio3A, have presented a complaint to the Prosecutor’s Office to ask for clarity on what happened. In the complaint, the woman’s relatives urge the judiciary to ascertain whether “the medical staff of the Formia hospital are responsible for the wrong diagnosis and for those resignations that turned out to be, with hindsight, at least hasty”.

“The Regional Health Department has ordered a clinical audit regarding the death of a 68-year-old lady discharged from the Formia hospital and who died after a few hours. The audit provision serves to clarify all the clinical protocols adopted and obviously the Company local health care is at the complete disposal of the judicial authorities. Deep condolences go to the woman’s family and loved ones “. This was announced in a note by the Health Department of the Lazio Region. (HANDLE).
